During the school year, you must attend a series of workshops that will aid you in completing high school and getting into college. Workshops vary but a few examples include career exploration, social media awareness, resume writing, etc. Below you will find a series of potential workshops and a description of each workshop. 

Career Exploration

This workshop will help students discover how their interests, talents, and goals can assist them in selecting or creating a career.

Social Media Awarenes

This workshop encourages students to discuss the appropriate uses of social media incuding how to use it for their personal, educational, and professional benefits.

Interview Skills

This workshop prepares students for the workplace interview process by discussing interview strategies, possible interview questions, and participating in mock interviews.

Resume Writing

This workshop assists students in creating their academic, activities, and professional resumes to assist them with college and job applications.

Financial Literacy

This workshop teaches students the reality of earning, saving, spending, and borrowing money. Students will be introduced to a set salary and learn to budget and spend accordingly.

This workshop will also introduce them to credit cards and check writing.

Test Prep

This workshop prepares students for the required college entrance standardized tests, including SAT, ACT, ACCUPLACER, and ASVAB.

Proper Attire

This workshop engages students in a conversation about the proper attire in different environments.

Time Management and Study Skills

This workshop prepares students to balance

 the rigors of life. The workshop will go over managing employment, class scheduling, school activities, and more. 

Financial Aid/Scholarship

This workshop prepares students to fill out financial aid forms such as FAFSA and any college specific forms, as well as learn important terminology pertaining to financial aid. Students will also be informed of available scholarships, recieve help in filling them out, and will discuss with their coach how to set themselves apart from the competition.

College Exploration

This workshop helps students understand what they should look for in a college, narrow their college selection, and apply to those colleges.

Communication

This interactive workshop encourges students to explore how to navigate potential barriers in communicating with peers, staff, family, and the world at large.
